Workin it out.. JULY 29, 2013

Well here we are again, another week is in the history books. I hope that this letter finds you all smiling and feeling like a million bucks. I miss you all so dang much.. I am always thinking about you all and about what we are going to do when I get back(: Just want to tell you thanks a bunch for all your emails and love that I can feel everyday(: I hope that this coming week is full of blessings for you all.. Thanks again for your emails(: and just for you being you! Times flying.

Well I had another good week here in Tonalá and I am just grateful for all that I am able to experience even if it means that it isn't that fun. I know it is all for my benefit and that I will leave her a much better person than when I arrived. This week we were able to teach 2 kids that now have baptismal dates.. Julio, 18 is gonna be a good example to a lot of people here in this branch.. I could see in his eyes that he was ready when we taught him, he went to EFY here in México the past week and came back even more stoked to get dunked than he was before.. He came to church saying that he was tired of the drugs and his life.. He told us that he wanted to live longer than people told him he was going to.. We taught him about his Heavenly Father and his son and the plan of happiness and Eternal Life, I invited him and he was ready, he has a date for 10 de Agosto. We are stoked for him. Also, Alberto 16 has been coming to church to, we contacted him in the streets and helped him lift like 30 crates of Corona into his dads truck.. He is a good kid and we are stoked that we are able to be apart of this sweet change in his life. We watched a Joseph Smith video talked about the restoration and he also had that look like there was big things ahead of him he also now has a date for 10 de Agosto, it is so amazing to be an instrument in the hands of our God. I know that I'm not perfect but I know that we all have so much potential, I don't know why I am so lucky to have this life I have been blessed with, but I will be forever grateful for it, and for all of you and your love. 

Well, I guess I'll be moving on and finish up this letter. Just know that I miss and love you all. It's going to be one good day when we are all reunited in the ol SLC airport. It's what keeps me fightin and going. Well hope you all have an awesome week and know that I love you.. I will be sending pics a lil bit later.

Tryin To Stuff A Turkey Through The Beak‏ July 22, 2013

GOOD MORNIN! (:

   How are all of you doin??(: I sure hope that this week was awesome for you all and that life is goin good.. I think about you all so much, miss you all more than you know, I'm grateful for each and everyone of you and your thoughts and prayers on my behalf.  This has got to be the fastest time has ever passed me by in my life. I cannot believe the way it has been goin lately.. I will say that everytime I'm sure but wow it is flying by! I want you to know that I love you so much and that I am prayin for you and thinkin bout you all the time.. Well I was just gonna tell you mom to.. in the next package you sent me I want ome beef jerky and a dr. pepper hahaah.. and would ya throw in there a short sleeve shirt.. size 15: 1/2 hah yep I am a toothpick(: but if you could do that the next package I would love that. (: n some new photos like of around the house and everyone and everything.. 

 

  I just have really learned that we need to walk by faith in all we do. Miracles will come from it if we do it, and if we are patient, kind, and forgiving.  Well we had transfers again this past week and nothin new. Me and Elder Ahumada are gonna be here in Tonalá for another transfer.. There is a ton of work still to be done here, and we are about see what our Lord has in store these next 6 weeks for us and Tonalá. Well e had a baptism to this past week it was awesome!! She is truly a convert it's been cool seeing the gospel change her life.. I was able to baptize her it was awesome.. Cool to be apart of that in peoples lives.. We had a date for the dad of the family we have been teachin to but he never showed up to his interview. We are gonna continue to visit him and his family, I sure am not the type of person that is gonna give up on people. But there is a ton of work, to be done and we bout to do work. I am so grateful to be here! Even though its freakin hot and nasty humid(: Just gotta love it. I know that there is purpose to everything in this life.. It's up to us to take advantage of the oppurtunity when it's in our hands(: I know the mission is slowly windin down, and honestly it scares me, I will give this work absolutely all I have until I am headin to that Tuxtla Aeropuerto.. I testify what Elder Holland said is true "I know this work is God’s very truth, and I know that only at our peril would we allow doubt or devils to sway us from its path. Hope on. Journey on. Honestly acknowledge your questions and your concerns, but first and forever fan the flame of your faith, because all things are possible to them that believe."

 

  Well I just want you all to know how much that I love you, and I am forever grateful for my awesome family. I hope that you can all feel of the blessings and the love that I feel.. I hope that you have an awesome week, be safe and be happy(:

Well here are some pics from the past week.. ha it was a good one!  We still have the dates set for the 20th so keep praying for us!  We went to the beach with a Hermana in the ward... she  has a restaurante down by the beach and she made us breakfast... then we spent the day looking for things in the ocean... It was a really good P-Day.

Well hopefully ya like that title... thought all week about what it was gonna be and there ya are(: Well good grief there goes another week and yup the countdown has officially begun sounds like huh?. I can´t believe it honestly is another week.. Ha I think that was a taste of what this year is gonna be like.. HOW ARE YOU ALL? I sure hope your all doin supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I am prayin nonstop for you all! I am so stoked that this time next year we are going to be reunited, gonna fight that good fight up until the wheels fall off just like you all will.. I just pray for your happiness and well being.. I love you so much, I hope the 4th was sweet for you all! I cant wait to be back and derby it up the next 4th(: 

Hmm well this week here in Tonala was great! We have 2 baptismal dates for the 20th that will be 2 days before we have transfers, I am probably about to head out... but we will see, only the lord knows. But Im super duper stoked about the two fechas tenemos(: I hope they will go through! Just keep the people here in Tonala in your prayers. Other than that nothin new.. It's gettin really green and jungles out its crazy how it went from dry and scorched to straight jungle book, call me Mogli. It is nuts but hey I am lovin the tropical thunder storms and lightning.. Speaking of lightning probably bout to call my derby car grease lightnin' ? I am bein dead serious about the derby too by the way(; Well I just wanna say to that I am lovin the mission. And honestly so thankful for the person it has made me, and I feel I am continuing to grow with everyday that passes. I love it and honestly I will miss it. Gonna keep on a goin. (: 

Well I miss sports so bad.. Baseball and Football right now.. I couldnt believe it when I saw a FOOTBALL at the church when we went to play Saturday, it like blew my mind.. I was lovin it haha.. Cant wait to toss it around when I get back.. I miss it all! But plenty of that when I get back.. Just wanna tell my studly Bros to keep workin hard and I cant wait to watch ya when I get back(: Here is a shweet scripture for ya! Phillipians 4:13.  "I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me.

One Doggone Year.. Wow(: July 1, 2013

The little kid is a part of about 20 others that just run around and are always at the church. Ha my name is "What's your name?" I taught em that phrase and so they call me that every time I see em.. looks like a monkey up there too  haha Well yup.

I am going to start this letter off by saying sorry for being so late haha.. Had the craziest but best P day I have ever had in my life! I am for sure going to put a bunch of pics on this one.. I don't even remember the name of the place we went to haah.. But wow.. Pure jungle.. I saw like three toucans like the sweet colorful birds and a ton of squirrels and you don't have to believe me but yup there was even spider monkeys ha-ha.. It was amazing saw a ton of stuff I am sure I will never see in my life again.... We went on an adventure with the other elders from the other side of Tonalá, and our guides were three Hermana's.. A mom that is in like here 40's and her 2 hijas.. We walked a freakin ton haha but it was beautiful and honestly it's a miracle that I only got a few mosquito bites haha.. (the mosquitoes were blue) but it was beautiful I wish you were all there with me.. I wont ever go back to that place and I had a lot of time to think on that adventure.. Just like the mission, I wont be able to go back and do it again so I am going to give it everything I have, and I wont stop until I'm giving you all hugs in that SLC airport less than a year from now.. (;


  Well wow.. I can't believe it has been one year either.. I can look back and remember those choice days in the mish.. But honestly it feels like honestly just a bit a go we were all gathered around in the kitchen for the last time for 2 years and I remember when it all hit.. I still remember word for word the blessing that you gave me dad, and the courage, love, and spirit I felt after that.. I know we could all feel the comfort and love of our Heavenly Father in our home.. It's something that I always look to for strength.. I can't believe that my year mark has come.. It has really got me thinkin.. And I can feel myself growin in every way.. I am so blessed to be here in the mish.. Everyday I am just happy to be here even if it is hard and hot or whatever.. I know this is my time to help other people and to realize who I am..


  I Love the mission.. I am glad for who it has transformed me this past year.. I am so much more grateful for all that I have and blessed to be a missionary here in CHIAPAS, MÉXICO, THE BEST MISH ON THE PLANET! I love to look at my life and who I have become, I know it has all come from God, he has given me the strength and I know that he has helped me and been with me with places nobody else could go.. I sure am proud to rep that "ELDER PETERSEN" on my chest and below it JESUCRISTO..
"Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."


Well, I hope you all have a SHWEET 4th of July to.. I am so stoked to be home celebrating the next one with you all, we gon make it cray cray.. (; Have some good ol fun for me and do something I would.. Eat some freakin good food for me.. Bout to get big when I get back haha I miss food.. (: Well I sure Love you all more than my words could ever describe.. I wanna thank you all for the letters you all write me and for your support, prayers, love , and hope.. You give me strength.. I love you all and we got one more year till I am back wreckin havoc (: I love you and I hope that, you will all continue to feel of my love and spirit, be the examples you are and thanks for everything..

Well the jungle trip we had today haah my camera died and I was.. like Chris Farley says.. "Angry..."  But yeah I cant even believe I saw the stuff I did haha it was an awesome way to start my one year right thats for sure..
