Transfers..! (: OCTOBER 14,2013

Haha well I'm being transfered.. But, I will be in the same zone.. hah interesting! Where I'm going is called Arriaga It's 30 minutes away from here so not to exciting haha. I will be there for the next 6 weeks for sure, I know it a little bit, been there for meetings and stuff like that.. and I know the kid mas o menos who will be my companion ( Elder Sanchez). I will finish up his training and I will be District Leader there to.. It's gonna be interesting for sure..! I am happy haha just gonna be chillin in the heat awhile longer, I guess Arriaga is the "Windy City" of Chiapas so I will feel at home (: I am stoked for the new place and the new people also.. (: Nothin will change just gonna keep on takin names and workin hard.. I was amazed when I was told today that I only have 6 transfers left. FAST! Juist lovin bein here and workin hard for the lord..

Well, I sure hope that all of you are feelin like a bunch of golden lions(; I sure miss you more than anything! I am just glad cause I have all of you.. I sure hope this week was a good one for all of you and that you all are happy. I can't beleive how fast time is goin tho.. 

This weeek was shweet. My last week in Tonalá, and we were able to have a baptism to! I felt very content knowing that I can leave here saying that I gave it my all everyday in this place..(: Thats how I wanna feel when I sit my sorry self down in that plane headed home to(: Gonna be here faster than a hedgehog headed for the promiseland.. I don't understand myself anymore either don't worry.. But anyway all is well.. (: 

Ridge proud of ya ma man.. Pretty cool that you are accomplishing all these things this year. I can only say atta kid, and always be lookin to get better and improve you have a lot of talent, work hard and don't let it go to waste.. Just keep it up brotha.. Kort I love you bro! Lemme know how all your games and tournaments turn out I know your gonna kick butt. Just keep it up!.. Mom and Dad thanks for your love and emails... (: I love you all.. Shweet Semana(: OCTOBER 7, 2013

 

MMMMyello.. This letter best be finding you all happier than grandpa Joe just gettin way too weird cause he knows he has a golden ticket, and his sorry behind is gonna get dragged to the chocolate factory..You all better be happy and smilin! This week went by faster than I have seen in awhile to be honest.. This past week was a good one also, I know that this week is gonna cruise by to. It's the last week of the transfer so it's pretty possible that Elder Petersen is gonna be receiving a transfer, we will have to see what the Lord has in store!

Well this week was a good one, mostly because it was Conference weekend!(: I was able to watch pretty much all of the sessions and felt the spirit for sure. I felt that the trend was definitely about enduring till the end, and about how we can repent, we just need to understand the love of our Savior and His Atonement. I feel like I am closer to him than I have ever been, for sure gonna miss this aspect of the mission.. But I know that God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ love us, and will always love us, there is nothing we can do that will ever stop that eternal love.  I am loving the mission because I am helping his children and I am lovin it.. It's gonna be gone before I know it.. I really like a bunch of talks Elder Christofferson talked about moms and I also like Elder Holland's talk. "Believe in Miracles, Be Patient, don't run faster than you have strength." I also like when Thomas S. Monson told us that, "Our most significant opportunities will be found in times of greatest difficulty." Conference was sweet, and it was beautiful seeing the temple and a lil bit of UTAH(: I feel so very blessed to live where I do.. Wow. We are working hard, planning on having a baptism this Sunday to! So we will see how it all plays out. I am just enjoying this change that is occurring inside me and I am glad I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.. Thanks for all of your examples you are to me.. 

Well, just know all of you that I love you, and miss you more than you know! I know you all feel the same but times jetting on by! (: I can't believe it. I sure am proud of you all! And about all that your accomplishing! I am so grateful for all of you and all that you give me, I can feel of your love and prayers.. Hopefully you all have an awesome week.. Utes are bout to upset the Cardinal of Stanford this Saturday.. (: calling it.. Pirates and Braves are gonna advance.. Steelers are gonna win a game this year(: haha Love you all!

General Conf. Weekend‏ OCTOBER 1, 2013

 

Good day to you all(: I sure am sorry I wasn't able to write you yesterday. It was a day filled with taxis and busses.. But we also ate subway two times I downed two foot longs down in like 5 minutes.. I have a feeling I will bulk right back up when I get back home.. (: HOW ARE YOU? It sounds like your all doin good.. Email is bein slow.. But I got all your emails so that's good.. Hopefully this past week was a good one tho, that's all I'm sayin.. You are all my inspiration!  

This week was a good one! It went by fast.. We worked a lot this week.. I was a tired donkey after everyday.. Slept good.. It is awesome to think that honestly I only have 8 months left.. It makes me think a bunch.. I can't beleive it.. I wanna see you all so very much.. But honestly I want it to slow down a bit.. I can't fathom how fast the weeks pass by, it's just a flyin by! I was thinkin a bunch this week of what I wanna take away from the mish.. I was readin in the liahona and the book of mormon and I was reading about the "natural man" and how I wanna get better in this aspect.. I find it that its always easier to talk about things rather than do them, that is also the "natural man" I wanna get better! That's why we are here.. Anyway I just wanted to share two scriptures that I liked a bunch in The Book Of Mormon, Mosiah 3:19 that is very well known and I really liked in Alma 38

 11 See that ye are not lifted up unto pride; yea, see that ye do not^aboast in your own wisdom, nor of your much strength.

 12 Use ^aboldness, but not overbearance; and also see that ye^bbridle all your passions, that ye may be filled with love; see that ye refrain from idleness.

I just wanna tell you thanks for your amazing examples, You have done everything for me in this life. I love you all and grateful that I have all of you.. 

Well I am stoked for Conference I think cause I will be able to watch T.V. hah just kiddin..(: I really like watchin it here in the mission.. I will hopefully carry this with me after the mission(: It is crazy to think that I will only have one more conference in the mission in April, and in april I will have 1 month left in this mission.. It is sure gonna fly these next 8 months, mark my words.. I am gonna leave nothin to even question! 

 

Well I was wonderin to, I have seen Fetch in the pics.. hahah did Sissy die?:( Just kiddin don't tell me I don't wanna be depressed.. Hahah.. I guess thats all for this week. Hopefully you are all doin great and smilin like elephants in a swimming pool.. (: Yessir... Well, I can't believe it's October.. Flyin.. Ay! How are y'all doing (: hope this past week was puro excelente and that you are all feelin like Jive Turkeys.. Crazy how fast they go by huh..? I can't beleive it, we are practically 3 months away from Christmas, and 2014 haha crazy how the years come and go.. We will be right back here in the end September again before we know it.. (:  SHWEEEET...

Well I was readin a good ol talk by Our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and I really liked it.. He also talked about the mission a bunch, a part in his talk that really stuck to me was when he talked about family and how the mission is a family affair.. I have been significantly blessed with a loving family and friends, I sure am humble and content.  I'm forever grateful for this mission, every mile is surely  molding me into the man I need to be, this life is a process.  I know that after this I will continue to grow and progress with your help. I will say it in every letter but I just feel very grateful for all of you in my life, and know that I love you all so very much.  I know that this is our Lord and Saviors Great and Marvelous Work.. He is helping me, help others and I know it to be true with all my heart. I will fight the good fight with a grin on my face everyday, aunque a veces no puedo hablar español muy bien, no importa estoy feliz y eso es TODO(: 

This week we were blessed to do a lot of service, it's gotta be my favorite part of the mission.. Service is why we come out here! It was a good week, we were also blessed to find another child of god that has been prepared.. We now have a baptismal date for the 13th of Oct. Pretty amazing to teach about our Savior and just watch them light up. I'm grateful for the Spirit that works within us.. Well that be all, I just am lovin it all.. And I think thats why times flyin, and everyday is another day closer to bein with all of you again. 

Well here is to another good week.. It will fly by! Be happy and enjoy that beautiful weather your havin for me(: I'll soak up plenty of sun for all of us and all of Utah.. Hahah (: Just be happy, and I'll be talkin to ya all soon(:

Learnin' A Bunch(: SEPTEMBER 16, 2013

 



THIS WEEK IS MEXICO'S INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Well I sure hope this shweet email finds you all with a smile that's all I'm sayin.. I am so very grateful to have all of you in my and hope that you know that.. I mean that with all my doggone heart(: Just wanna say thanks for your words and for your examples you are to me.. I feel very humble to have you all in my life.

This has been a good week, I just wanna start out by sayin that I know that our Heavenly Father is always listening to our prayers, that sounds very cliche but until we recieve a clear answer it sounds even better.. I have recieved many answers to my prayers.. And this week I was comforted and felt a strength beyond my own, I know that I can do all things through him and his son.. It is truly amazing the conversion that takes place in these 2 years, I feel like I have grown and I know that I will continue to do so.. I am learning along with these people I have grown to love, at times it is hard because we come from different countires but I have grown to care for them.. I am learning with them, and they have taught me so very much.. I even turn off the water when I am brushing my teeth now.. There ya go(: haha.. 

Well we are workin a ton.. It rained unrelentlessly (I think that's a word) this week, I couldnt believe it.. 3 days of pure agua.. It was amazing.. Never let up, just that tropical rainstorm, and the seasons must be changin, crazy to think.. Anyway we are workin a ton.. It feels good, I know this is our Lord and Savior's work and I know he is very pleased with all of his missionaries that are humble and here for the people.. I feel like a stud walkin down the street with that ELDER PETERSEN and JESUCRISTO on my chest.. It is something that I will always treasure..

I have been thinkin a bunch about football.. I always go back to the 2 a days, in the pure heat, fighting for the top spot, and I have come to learn that in everything the strength that can move mountains is all mental.. I know that I can push and push, and excel.  Ever since your email dad, I have been readin Jesus The Christ know.. And I can feel myself growin closer to him and that is what it's all about, I know that the mission is a conversion most importantly in the missionary, if they do it right. I am grateful for this.

14 months.. Shweet.. SEPTEMBER 9, 2013

Well howdy there my beautiful friends and family, I sure love and miss you a ton! Times just a flyin by.. How are things up there in your world? I sure hope they are amazing and that you´re all feelin good and just enjoyin life.. (: I know that this time is just gonna fly by and we are gonna be hangin out before we all know it.. Anyway I hope that you are all really feelin good and all happier than a seal.. 

This week here in Tonalá was a doosy haha but it was good! I know that the lord has purpose in everything.. I know that He wants me here for 5 more weeks, and I am gonna work hard! I feel good and I'm feelin happier than a moose so that's all that matters..! You wanna know why I'm happy..? Cause I know that all of you have my back! And that someday soon I will be seeing you all soon.. (: We have found 4 new investigators this week and it has been awesome to be able to be find them so fast.. I know that we will be having success this transfer, I know I will learn all that the Lord has prepared for me to learn.. Just gonna be humble(: 

I know that I will carry with me all that I learn here, my entire life here on earth(: 

Well had to go clean a big water tank on the top of the house where the sister missionaries live and that was a fun way to spend P day.. haha good grief.. but we showed up to there house they were gone but they left us breakfast hah so that was way nice of them! I will put a pic of that with this email.. Well nothin new..
I just wish I could give each and everyone of you a big ol hug right now.. I miss you a ton.. But 14 months.. the end of June 2014 is gonna be here quicker than we think.. Just gonna keep workin(: Thanks for all your support and love and know that I am praying and thinkin of you all everyday. I love you.

Un Año en México‏ September 2, 2013

 
 
 




Well another week! And wouldn't ya know.. this time a year ago I was leavin the MTC and starin at those Utah mountains fade off in the distance.. Landed in Mexico City, I was wonderin what the crap I was doin.. Hopped in the next plane to Tuxtla and landed and well here I am.. I am so gvery grateful that I am here in the mission. I have learned so very much and I can't wait for these next 10 months.. I will make em BIG!

 This week was awesome we had another baptism and I have been so very blessed to be helpin these people here in Tonalá, and I feel that I have learned so very much.. After this transfer I will have 15 months in the mission, and 7 months here in Tonalá haha hard to believe honestly but man it's awesome to be here and to be workin.. We are gonna be splittin the area we are in now in half because there is gonna be hermanas coming tomorrow.. Sister missionaries.. Hah.. We are gonna have the smaller part of the area where there is hardly no investigators. I can't wait to find the ones that are waitin! I know the lord had his hand in everything.. It will be another awesome transfer and it's gonna fly..

Well that is that.. I just want you all to know that I miss you all. I love you all and I can't wait to be with ya again.. Keep bein the awesome Petersen family you are and thanks for all your love and support in my behalf.. I wish you all another good week and we will be talkin again next monday(;
